<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://willisfuneralhome.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/136_115635.jpg" alt="Roma Jean Miracle Beebe" />Roma Jean Miracle Beebe, 80, of Cheshire, died Monday, February 20, 2012, receiving exceptional care at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia.

She was born July 9, 1931 in Stafford, Ohio, to the late Floyd and Odessa Miracle.  Jean dedicated her life to her three adoring children and her late husband, Glen Edward Beebe, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage.  Pictured here is an anniversary photo of Glen and Jean.

She is survived by her two sons Perry Beebe of Cheshire, Ohio and Michael (Suzanne) Beebe of Lexington, Kentucky; a daughter, Drs. Christine (William) Sikora of Westlake, Ohio; three grandchildren, Tara Tallarico of Commercial Point, Ohio, Lindsay (William) Poore of Lexington, Kentucky, Larisa Beebe of Knoxville, Tennessee; and one great granddaughter, Macy Tallarico of Commercial Point, Ohio.

A private family service will be held.  Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Emerson E. Unroe, 79, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Holzer Medical Center.  He was born on January 13, 1933 in Gallia County, Ohio son of the late Harry Harold and Virginia Irene Miller Unroe.  Emerson spent forty years in the glass plant industry, 23 years at Federal Glass, 10 years at Anchor Hocking and 10 years at Lancaster Colony in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.  He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting.  Emerson was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Gallipolis.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Nancy Queen Unroe whom he married on December 21, 1953 in Gallia County and she survives him in Gallipolis, along with a son Michael (Karen) Unroe of Rockbridge, Ohio and one daughter Carol (Jerry) Tindall of Grove City, Ohio; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, one brother Rex (Pauline) Unroe of Gallipolis, and one sister Eileen Willis of Gallipolis, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother Harry Harold Unroe, Jr. and by two infant siblings.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday, February 24, 2012 at the First Church of the Nazarene Gallipolis, with Pastors Mark Grizzard and Eugene Harmon officiating, burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.  Friends may call on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Willis Funeral Home.  There will be a flag presentation at the cemetery by volunteers of area veteran&#039;s lodges.

Sallie Margaret Gardner Kirby, 94, of Gallipolis went home to be with Jesus on February 17, 2012 at the Holzer Medical Center.  She was born on October 16, 1917 in Mason County, West Virginia, daughter of the late George and Hattie Frances Flint Gardner.

Sallie was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church, she enjoyed singing, sowing, cooking, quilting, and loved being a grandma.  She was married to Edward C. Kirby on October 12, 1934 and he preceded her in death, along with a son Edward Lee Kirby, three grandsons, John, Bryan, and Bobby Kirby, sisters, Hattie Nibert, Dorothy Gibbs, Della Flora, Rose Cundy, brothers, Elmer, Hanley, and Raymond Gardner.

She is survived by two sons Frank Kirby and Melvin Kirby both of Gallipolis, one daughter Margaret (Walter) Hively of Gallipolis, daughter-in-law Virginia Kirby of Gallipolis, 17 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; one brother Lawrence “Bus” Gardner of Nevada, Ohio and one sister Edna McDonald of Virginia.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Monday, February 20, 2012 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Mollohan officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery.  Friends may call on Monday from 11 am until the time of the services.  Pallbearers will be Carl Hively, Dennis Kirby, Mike Kirby, Justin Wells, Jamie Thevenir, Devin Kirby, Honorary Pallbearers will be Edward Lee Kirby, Jr., Frank Kirby, Jr., Jason Kirby, Nathan Kirby, and Mitchell Kirby.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://willisfuneralhome.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/136_115346.jpg" alt="Joseph G. &quot;Joe&quot; Giles" />Joseph G. “Joe” Giles, 76, of Gallipolis, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Holzer Medical Center.

He was born and raised in Sheridan, Ohio on June 22, 1935, son of the late Clarence Giles and Mabel Hazlett Watson.  Joe was married to Alice Beard Pasquale Giles on April 12, 1997 and she survives him. 

Joe served in the U.S. Army in Korea and the states from 1955 to 1958.   He moved to Gallipolis in 1959 and worked at Carolina Lumber Company in Pt. Pleasant, WV.  After a few years, he started working at French City Lumber Company in Gallipolis.  In 1969, 
he and Jim Staats started the French City Homes, where he was a co-owner of the business until his retirement in 1994.  Joe was a past City Commissioner. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he was a past trustee and head usher.  Joe was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling and enjoyed all sports when he was young.  He also enjoyed gospel and blue grass music.

Surviving are his wife, Alice B. Giles of Gallipolis; three stepchildren, Michael (Robin) Pasquale, Dr. Julia Pasquale (John Carroll) and Donna Thompson (Bobby Marchi), all of Gallipolis; four step grandchildren, Mikayla Pasquale of Chicago, Illinois, Alex Pasquale of Tampa, Florida, Tessa Thompson of Chicago, Illinois, Levi Thompson of Cheshire, Ohio; a brothers-in-law, Wendell (Lois) Thomas of Gallipolis;and Roger Thomas of LaPorte, Texas; a nephew, David (Peggy) Thomas of Westerville; a niece, Susan Thomas of Livermore, California; great nieces and great nephews, Andy Thomas, Sara Beth Thomas, Jonathan Thomas, Andrea Thomas, John Fields, Eric Fields; and three aunts, Venus (William) Craddock of Canton, Ohio, Birdie Blumenstock of Saginaw, Michigan, and Betty Drew of Tucson, Arizona.

Joe was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda J. Thomas Giles on August 30, 1995 and a nephew, Greg Thomas.

Services will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alvis Pollard officiating.  Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 5-8 p.m.  There will be a flag presentation at the graveside.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Haner, Levi Thompson, Dave Thomas, Bob Hood, Alex Pasquale and Josh Simmons.  Honorary pallbearers will be Cleeland Willis, Dick Patten, Cliff Wilson, Wayne Niday, Roger Hood, Glenn Icenhower, and Cliff Thornton.

Temberley Johnson Lester, 37, of Crown City, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio after a brief illness.

She was born January 28, 1975 in Gallipolis, daughter of Lois Gwen Montgomery and Mark Johnson Sr., who survive her.  She attended Buckeye Hills Career Center and enjoyed living life.

Surviving are her three children, Chrystian (Charlotte) Johnson of Crown City, Heavenle Johnson of Gallipolis and Takala Johnson of Patriot; four grandchildren, Shiana, Mikayla and Angel Fletcher of Gallipolis and Logan Timberman of Oak Hill; her mother, Lois Gwen Montgomery of Gallipolis; her father Mark (Debi) Johnson Sr. of Patriot; brother Mark (Christie) Johnson Jr. of Patriot; niece Destiny Johnson; nephew Trey Johnson; grandmother Mary Clagg of Gallipolis; several cousins, family members and friends.

Temberley was preceded in death by her grandmother Ruby Gibson, two uncles Ralph Sands and Billy Clagg and her grandfather “Poppy” Terley Clagg Sr..

At the request of the family there will be two services, the first will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2012 and the second service will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Willis Funeral Home with James Ellison officiating both services.  Burial will follow the 1:00 p.m. service at Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, February 20, 2012 from 6-8 p.m.  Pallbearers will be Chrystian Johnson, Ray Clagg, Nathan Clagg, Mark Johnson Jr., Nick Clagg, Eric Carter, and Joe Jones. He was born on September 24, 1930 in Lincoln County, West Virginia, son of the late 
Perry and Ellen Perdue Hager.  Ronald was an overhead crane operator working out of Teamsters Local 73 Cleveland, Ohio.  He enjoyed fishing and gambling.

Ronald was married to Pearl Osborne Hager and she preceded him in death on November 6, 2002.  He was also preceded in death by his parents and by two sisters Ella Mae Hatcher and Dorothy Parson.  He is survived by his sons Ronald (Dolly) Hager, Jr. of Gallipolis, Wayne (Sheila) Hager of Branchland, WV, Jack Hager of Gallipolis, Rick (Mickey) Hager of Cambridge, Ohio, Terry Hager of Gallipolis, Donald (Valerie) Brown of Crestview, FL, and Brian Brown of Gallipolis, one daughter Donna (Andy) Brock of Carterville, Georgia.; 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. He is also survived by one brother Butch (Lydia) Hager of Handover, Ohio, two sisters Edith Dean of Branchland, WV, and Carolyn (Albert) May of Wooster, Ohio.  Ronald is also survived by his former wife Junie Conley of Gallipolis.  Anyone that really knew Ronald Hager, knows that he lived his life the way he wanted it to be.  He will be missed greatly.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Delaney officiating.  Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery.  Friends may call on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Willis Funeral Home.

Haffelt, Jr., 54, of Middletown, Ohio passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Butler-Warren Hospice Care Center in Franklin, Ohio.  George was born on November 6, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio to the late George Amyl Haffelt, Sr., and Katherine Marie &quot;Kay&quot; Fulcher Haffelt who survives.  George had been a florist working with his father at Amyl&#039;s Floral Fashions and also had worked at Shannon&#039;s Floral in Fairborn, Ohio.  He was a 1975 Gallia Academy High School Graduate where he played in the band and also graduated from the University of Rio Grande.
 
He survived by his children Amy Haffelt, Samantha (Andy) Swan both of Fairborn, Ohio, Brian Rankin of Monroe, Ohio and Grace Ellis of Niceville,FL, 4 grandchildren, his mother Kay Haffelt of Gallipolis, sister Pam (Jacky) Seal of Mt. Airy, NC, nieces Whitney Brooke Large of Greenville, NC, and nephew Justin (Leslie) Large of Oakland, TN, and a great nieces Olivia Large. His companion, Linda Begley of Middletown, Ohio.
 
Friends may call on Monday, February 13, 2012 from noon until 1 pm, at George&#039;s request his burial will be private in Mound Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Willis Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">On March 5, 1988, she married the love of her life, Rich Dillon.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>She has been a beloved wife, homemaker, supporter and faithful servant.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Debbie enjoyed shopping, being with family and friends, supporting and spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling with her husband as he ministered in song.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Debbie was never at a loss for words.</span></span></p>

Boggs Green, 85, of Groveport, Ohio, formerly of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Pickerington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pickerington, Ohio.</span></span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;</span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">She was born August 20, 1926 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Thomas a. and Rena May Cottrill Boggs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Erma was a nurse&rsquo;s aide for 30 years at the Holzer Medical Center.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span></span></span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;</span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Surviving are her daughter, Rohdonda Hardin of Groveport, Ohio; a grandson, Alex Hardin of Tokyo, Japan; a granddaughter, Melissa O&rsquo;Connor of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; a great grandson, Marcus O&rsquo;Connor; and one sister, Margarett Utt of Anderson, Indiana.</span></span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;</span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Erma was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Marshall Boggs, James Boggs, Charles T.
