Aaron B. Pickens

Aaron Bradley Pickens, 37, departed us on August 10, 2026. Aaron was a selfless, compassionate soul who often gave away his only possessions to other help other people. His adventures over the years spanned across Ohio, California, and Texas where he met no strangers and made many friends. Aaron was skilled at learning new things and found himself working as a machinist and maintenance repair technician across various industries including aerospace, glass manufacturing and materials packaging over the years. To know Aaron, was to know he was also a gifted storyteller and more than anything he enjoyed sharing his experiences with others.

He is survived by his parents, his father Bill (Kelly) Pickens, of Gallipolis, mother Patricia French (Wyatt) and brother William Kendall Wyatt both of Tallahassee, Fl. He is also survived by his grandmother Carolyn Harris "Kitty" Drummond, aunts and uncles Greg (Rhonda) Pickens, Cindy Drummond-Newell, Becky Drummond, Lynn (Morris) Mayes as well as cousins, Alexis Pickens, Robbie Newell, Rodney Newell, Zachary Mayes, Calyssa Mayes, Nicholas Mayes, Charles Wallace II, and Chelsey Wallace. He leaves behind many friends including Richard Parsons of Holiday, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Larry C. Drummond and uncle; Jeremy Drummond.

A memorial service will be held at Willis Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Friends and family may be received from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Tuesday.
