Amel L. Waugh- Crown City On Saturday evening December 17, 2016, Amel Leslie Waugh passed away at his residence on Swan Creek in Gallia County, Ohio. He was 76 years old, and had retired in 2008 from Amel Waugh Trucking. He was the 8th child born to the late Amel and Lyla (Beaver) Waugh on September 17, 1940 on Swan Creek. Amel married Judy Angel on October 10, 1959 and she survives him. He was the loving father of two sons, Allen (Susie) Waugh of Crown City and Bruce (Michele) Waugh of Proctorville, and one daughter Deanna Waugh (Bryan Rose) of Gallipolis, Ohio. Amel leaves behind 8 grandchildren that he loved dearly, Eric (Camie) Biars, Jennifer (Joey) Lucas, Jamie (Ben) Grizzle, Brandy (Jeremy) Collier, Jodie Waugh, Nathan Biars (Anna Donnally), Mitchell (Jessica) Waugh, and Aubrey Johnson; 10 great grandchildren, Madison and Brent Lucas, Asher, Audrey and Bennett Grizzle, Khloee Biars, Mila Biars, Miles and Dax Collier, Knox Waugh and one on the way Avery Biars. Amel is also survived by his mother-in-law Audrey Angel of Gallipolis, Ohio; two brothers Bill (Mary) Waugh and Merrill (Della) Waugh, five sisters, Inez (Jimmie Dale) McGuire, Beatrice Johnson, Fern Hively, Karen (Dean) Brownell, and Connie (Billy) Johnson. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John Lee Waugh, Harlan (Bub) Waugh and Gene Waugh and by one sister Mary Lou Curry. Funeral services will be on 1:00 p.m., Thursday December 22, 2016 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Chapman officiating. His burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday December 21, 2016 from 5-8 pm at Willis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Allen Waugh, Bruce Waugh, Eric Biars, Nathan Biars, Bryan Rose, Joey Lucas.
