Anna Pearl Handley

Anna Pearl Handley, 84, of Cheshire, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2007 at the Holzer Medical Center. She was born on November 12, 1922 in Cottageville, WV, daughter of the late Perry and Mary Bowers Scarberry. She was married to Roy S. Handley and he preceded her in death. Anna attended Old Kyger Freewill Baptist Church. She was a member of the Mt. Nebo Choir, Mt. Nebo, WV and she enjoyed singing. In her younger years she was involved in the schools of her children. Surviving are three daughters, Dianne Handley and Gerry Howard Gruber, both of Cheshire, and Margie McKenzie of Oak Hill, OH; three sons, Keith Handley and Allen Bonnie Handley, both of Cheshire and David Tina Handley of Frazeysburg, OH; seventeen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Charlotte Scarberry and Perry Irene Scarberry, both of Columbus, OH; and one sister, Mildred Scarberry of Lancaster, OH. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy S. Handley in 1996, three children in infancy, three brothers and two sisters. Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Old Kyger Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Thompson and Pastor Jamie Fortner officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Willis Funeral Home on Monday, March 12, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be James Skaggs, Josh Handley, Chris Gruber, Zeb Lane, Travis Bias and Howard Gruber. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Sigman and Delbert Clay. The family would like to especially thank the Holzer Medical Center 4East Nursing Staff and Scenic Hills Nursing Staff.
