Archie J. Patterson

Archie J. Patterson, 77, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Holzer Medical Center. Archie was born on August 24, 1938 in Mason County, WV, son of the late Harold Samuel and Olivia Leah Austin Patterson. He was retired from AEP River Transportation. Archie was an U.S. Army Veteran and graduated of Pt. Pleasant High School. Archie enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a love for animals, especially his dogs. He is survived by his wife Helen F. Lawson Patterson of Gallipolis, a son David “Joey” (Valerie) Bates of Pt. Pleasant, a daughter Leah Patterson of Mason County, WV, step children Donna (Lester) Combs of Culloden, WV, Russell (Angela) Potts of Patriot, Mitchell (Konni) Potts of Newbern, NC, step daughter-in-law Debbie Potts of Xenia, Ohio, step father and step mother, Herb and Wilda Kincaid of Pt. Pleasant, and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step son Michael Potts and step daughter Tammy Cook. Services will be 1 pm Friday, April 15, 2016 at Willis Funeral Home with Chaplain Fred Williams officiating. His burial will be in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.
