Arlen B. Brown

Arlen B. Brown, 89, of Bidwell, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. He was born March 2, 1928 in Boone County, West Virginia, son of the late Emory Brown and Orpha Kuhn Nelson. He was married to Josephine “JoAnn” Carrow Brown and she preceded him in death. Arlen retired from Ravenswood Aluminum. He was a member of the United Steel Workers and Good News Baptist Church. Surviving are his sons, Danny B. (Karen) Brown of West Jefferson, OH, Kenneth A. (Becky) Brown and Randy D. (Linda) Brown, both of Gallipolis; a daughter, Beverly A. (James) Simms of Bidwell; grandchildren, Danny, Kari, Travis, Kristie, Mandy, Todd; great grandchildren, Alexis, Evan, Kyla, Corey, Allie, Kenya; sister, Bobbie Burgess of Bob White, WV. In addition to his parents and wife, JoAnn Brown, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be sons, Danny Brown, Kenny Brown, Randy Brown, Jim Simms, grandsons, Todd Simms, Danny Brown, Travis Brown.
