Barry Steve Bryant, 60, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Friday August 20, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his beloved family and friends. He was born on May 23, 1950 in Logan, West Virginia, son of the late John T. 'J.T' Bryant and Oleva Gaie Hainor Bryant who survives in Gallipolis. Steve spent more than twenty years working at the Kyger Creek Power Plant. He was known and respected for his love of the outdoors and for his hospitality. He had many business ventures; the owner of Bryant Trucking and Grain and livestock farming. Steve is survived by his wife Lori Axline Bryant of Gallipolis; two daughters Brooklyn Olivia Bryant of Gallipolis and Bethany Brian Bauman of Lafayette, Indiana; one son, Todd fiance Leslie Henry Bryant of Bidwell; a granddaughter Sydney Rae; his mother Oleva Gaie Bryant; four brothers Gary Bryant of Bidwell, Dale Sherry Bryant of Florida, Greg Cindy Bryant of Gallipolis, and Michael Polly Bryant of Gallipolis; several nieces and nephews and a special friend Rick Mount of Bidwell. Services will be 11 am Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Lynn officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 5-8 pm at Willis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Mark Hager, Sherman Green, Rick Mount, Eddie Holley, Jeff Merry and Bill Venters. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brad Bryant, Chris Bryant and Mark Davis.
