Beldon Elmer “Stormy” Storms, 61, of Rio Grande passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Born September 21, 1957 in McArthur, Ohio to the late Elmer and Della (Mitchell) Storms, Stormy was retired from GKN and Stormy’s deliveries. Stormy was an accomplished musician who inspired many with his music. Playing and recording with The Full Gospel Travels, Stormy also played with local bands including Bart and the Chasers and Southbound, who opened for Charlie Daniels. Along with his music, Stormy loved camping and his many trips around the states along with his wife Janet and faithful companions Saddie, Rascel, and Mr. Peepers. Stormy is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Mercer) Storms; daughters, Patricia (Gary) Horsley and Amanda (Shawn) Riley of Beaver, Ohio, Randi Stewart of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Tonya (Jerry) Traylor of Gallipolis, and Kara (Shane) Smith of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; sons, Bryan (Cheri) Beaver of Rio Grande, Ohio and Casey (Elisa) McClelland of Port Richey, Florida; sisters, Barbara (Mike) Peterson of Bellefontaine, Ohio and Sharon (Dale) Carr of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; brother, Kenneth Storms of Coalton, Ohio; sister-in-law, Marie (Vernon) Hall of Columbus, Ohio; and brother-in-law, Tim (Dineena) Trout of South Point, Ohio. Stormy is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and special friends, Chuck and Barbara Richards of Rio Grande, Steve Durst of Gallipolis, and Denica Robinson of Rio Grande, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Stormy was preceded in death by an infant daughter. The funeral service for Stormy will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Willis Funeral Home with Jane Ann Miller officiating.
