Bernice Eilene Brothers

Bernice Eilene Brothers, 89, of Bidwell, Ohio passed away on Saturday October 10, 2026 at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. Bernice was born on April 30, 1937 in Guyan Township Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Virgil O. and Pearl P. Wells Lear.

Bernice was a member of Prospect Church and was self-employed, cleaning offices and personal residences. She was married to Allen Eugene Brothers and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2019. Bernice is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Hill, Karen Lund, and Linda Brothers; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Jenelle, Lacey, Jessica, Aaron, Melinda, Brittany, and Austin; along with several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine, and brothers, Wilbur, Otis, Richard, and Russell.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026 at Pine Street Cemetery with Pastor Garret Fitch officiating.
