Betty M. DeWitt, 88, of Bidwell, Ohio passed away at Holzer Senior Care Center on April 29, 2018. Born on April 12, 1930 in Mason County, West Virginia, Betty was the daughter of the late Homer and Garnett Martin Hill, Sr. She was married to Donald DeWitt, who preceded her in death on December 24, 1995. Betty was an office manager for the family plumbing business. Betty is survived by three daughters, Cynthia L. Crist of Zanesville, Ohio, Deborah J. DeWitt of Houma, Louisiana, and Donna L. (Flem) DeWitt-Meade of Vinton, Ohio; grandsons, Devin Crist, Nicholas Mulholand, Dakota DeWitt, Cheyene Stone, and Cree Stone; granddaughters, Tina Brown, Tammy Crist, and Amanda Thompson; several great grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Elmer Hill of Rio Grande, Homer Hill, Jr. of Bidwell, and Juanita Bane of Gallipolis. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by granddaughter, Dawn Lianne Crist; brothers, Edward Hill, Marvin Hill, Harold Hill, and Roy Hill; and son-in-law, Bruce Grant. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Willis Funeral Home with Bob Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.
