Betty Jean Louden, 85, of Cheshire, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at her residence. She was born on March 25, 1932 in Point Pleasant, WV, daughter of the late Virgil and Wilma Grinstead Wamsley. Betty was a member of White Oak Church, a member of DAV Women’s auxiliary, and was a cook at Addaville Elementary for 34 years. Betty loved watching all the sports her grandchildren and great grandchildren participated. She also loved all the kids at Addaville. Nothing made her happier than being around her family and friends. Betty was married to Lumen E. Louden on December 19, 1951 in Cumberland, Maryland and he preceded her in death in 1991. She is survived by two sons, Jess (Carol) Louden of Bidwell and Louie (Lusita) Louden of Cheshire, one daughter Jean Louden of Cheshire, two step daughters Linda and Betty Sue both of Texas, three grandchildren, Melissa (Don) Mays of Bidwell, Matthew (Amanda) Rhodes of Vinton and Shannon (Amy) Louden of Bidwell, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; One sister Nancy Preston of Gallipolis, John Wamsley of Bidwell, Carl (Sharen) Wamsley of Gallipolis, and Dick (Charlotte) Wamsley of Racine; Several nieces and nephews survive. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and by a brother Paul Wamsley and a sister Phyllis Larkins. Services will be noon Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Ward officiating. Her burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery.
