Bonnie J. Kemper

Bonnie J. Kemper, 87, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on March 3, 2026 at Arbors at Gallipolis. Born on July 31, 1938 in Gallia County, Ohio, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Timothy and Piccola Clements Sprouse.

Bonnie dedicated many years to working in Operations at Kyger Creek Power Plant before retiring. A true lover of the outdoors and a modern-day "pioneer woman", she was an avid hunter and fisherwoman who also enjoyed mushroom hunting. When she wasn’t outside, Bonnie found joy in sewing, quilting, and a variety of creative crafts.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by brothers Norman Thomas Sprouse and Albert Sprouse; as well as sisters June Morris, Myrtle Cravis, Marie Wells, Barbara Millar, and Sally Kathryn Waugh. She is survived by her children, Bonita (Kenneth) Fleming of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Dreama (Keith) Marcum of Vinton, Ohio, Timothy (Joan) Waugh of Patriot, Ohio, Terry N. Waugh of Gallipolis, Ohio, Roger Waugh of Patriot, Ohio, Chris (Crystal) Waugh of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Ronald Lee (Tammy) Kemper II of Gallipolis, Ohio; siblings, Betty Saunders of Gallipolis, Ohio and Mary Whitt of Columbus, Ohio; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral services for Bonnie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastors Brenda and Bruce Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Sanders #2 Cemetery in Lawrence County, Ohio. Friends and family may be received from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.
