Brian R. Porter

Brian R. Porter, 38, of Vinton, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 from injuries received in an automobile accident. Brian was a Gallia County Sheriff’s Deputy and a child care worker at the Children’s Center of Ohio. Brian attended Vinton Baptist Church and enjoyed basketball and fishing. He was a 1987 Graduate of Gallia Academy High School and a graduate of Hocking College. He was born on April 8, 1969 in Lewiston, New York to the late Clyde Richard Porter and Violet M. John Brayley. Brian was the devoted father of Kelsea and Chase Porter both of Orient, Ohio, the loving brother of Susan Alvin Magcale of Union City, CA, Debra Benny Clary of Rock, WW, Candace Fred Porter-Provencio of Monrovia, CA, and Mark Porter of Clarence, NY, a step brother Tim Stanley of Vinton, Ohio, his former wife, Kimberly Feustel Porter of Orient, Ohio and his step mother Doris Ann Porter of Gallipolis; several nieces and nephews survive. Services will be 1 pm Monday, April 23, 2007 at Vinton Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Sallee and Rev. Bob Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Willis Funeral Home on Sunday, April 22, 2007 from 6-8 PM. Pallbearers will be Mark Boyd, Scott Howell, Robbie Jacks, Rick Smith, Rick Wells, and Craig Finley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alvin Magcale, Fred Provencio, Benny Clary, Don Gene Mitchell and Chris Evans.
