Bruce Michael Mcdonald

Bruce Michael “Mike” McDonald, 68, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his residence. He was born on December 20, 1947 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late Bruce B. and Ellabelle Chevalier McDonald. He was retired from the Kyger Creek Power Plant as an electrical engineer with 38 years of service. Mike was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School and was US Army Veteran serving two tours of duty in Vietnam, and was a life-time member of the Jackson Ohio VFW post. He is survived by his wife Dixie Errett McDonald of Gallipolis, a son Bruce William “Billy” McDonald of Gallipolis and a daughter Stacey Rayburn of Pt. Pleasant, WV; two grandchildren Elizabeth Rayburn and Christian Derenberger. He is also survived by extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be 1 pm Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Carl “Boxer” Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Willis Funeral Home from 5 pm – 8 pm. There will be full military rites given at the graveside by the Gallia County Funeral Detail.
