Carl L. Myers

Carl L. Myers, 59, of Bidwell, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Holzer Medical Center. He was born on November 14, 1961 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late Carl E. Myers and Iva Clonch Myers, who survives him. Carl served in the West Virginia National Guard and enjoyed all sports, playing cards, and fishing. In addition to his mother, Carl is survived by his daughter, Sophia Chattin of Gallipolis; one granddaughter, Genesis Lee Chattin of Gallipolis; two sisters, Teresa (John) Glover of Richmond, Virginia and Mary (Rick) Greene of Vinton, Ohio; one brother, Robert "Yogi" (Leslie) Myers of Richmond, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Carl was preceded in death by two daughters, Elizabeth A. and Tonya Maria Myers and one sister, Corina Wooten. The funeral service for Carl will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday April 23, 2021 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Truman Johnson and Pastor Heath Jenkins officiating. His burial will follow in Rife Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday prior to the funeral from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Those in attendance are asked to follow the CDC guideline of social distancing and the Ohio mandate of wearing face masks.
