Carl R. "Bob" Veith

Carl R. “Bob” Veith, 76, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Holzer Senior Care. He was born on August 22, 1939 in Cheshire, son of the late John and Dorothy (Fife) Veith. Carl was a member of the Addison Freewill Baptist Church. He graduated from Kyger Creek High School in 1957 and served in U.S. Army. He deeply loved his church, and enjoyed antiquing and will deeply miss his flea market buddies. Carl retired from GKN with 35 years of service in the maintenance department. Carl is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandy Veith, three sons, Keith (Kathy) Veith of Gallipolis, Kelly (Subina) Veith of Gallipolis, Joe (Tess) Veith of Pt. Pleasant, and a daughter Julie (Jamie) Harris of Gallipolis; 7 grandchildren, Jason (Sara) Veith, Justin Veith, Eric Veith, Sarah (Will) Barcus, Jill Veith, Grace Harris and Carson Harris; 2 great grandchildren, Avery Barcus and Quinn Veith; one sister, Dorothy Leach of Cheshire. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Don Leach. Services will be 1 pm, Monday, January 25, 2016, at the Addison Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Barcus officiating . Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Willis Funeral Home on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 2-5 pm. There will be military rites at the
