Carol Jane Spears

Carol Jane Spears, 78, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the home of her daughter Carol Sue Gibson. Carol Jane born on August 19, 1937 in Spencer, West Virginia; the daughter of the Late Charles Burroughs and Bessie McCawley. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughters Carol Sue (Jerry) Gibson and Kathy May (Bulgy) Johnson both of Gallipolis, and Patricia Ann (Benny J.) Cole of Salyersville, Kentucky, 9 grandchildren Jimmy (Manda) Bargy, Ronnie (Amanda) Fletcher, Donny (Charlotte) Fletcher, Crystal (Andrew) Fillinger, Bryan (Lisa) Campbell, Becky (Seth) Robinson, Kim (Billy) Lykins, Jessica (Kenny) Smith, and Tina (Eric) Howard, four step grandchildren Richard (Sharen) Johnson, Everett (Olive) Elkins, Amber (Vernon) Davis, and Tabatha (Rodney) Johnson, 39 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild, sisters Betty Hines of Prestonsburg, KY and Charlotte Hall of Gallipolis. Carol Jane was preceded in death by her parents, husband William “Rud” Russell Spears on April 24, 2002, a daughter Diana Lynn Mayse, and by two sisters Ann Cantrell and Shirley Buechner. Services will be 1pm Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Truman Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Nick Cemetery.
