Cecil Eugene Lambert

Cecil Eugene Lambert passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018. Cecil was born on December 26, 1931 at (Cross Roads) Cadmus, Ohio to Estel and Olive Evadene Lambert. Cecil married Helen Elizabeth James on August 28, 1950. They were happily married for 67 years. Along with cutting timber Cecil enjoyed mowing grass, fishing, and his family. He was a faithful man of God and loved singing gospel songs. Cecil is preceded in death by his parents Estel and Evadene Lambert, a daughter Connie Lee Lambert, a brother Charles Lambert, a brother- in- law Bill Wells and a sister- in- law Teresa Lambert. Cecil is survived by his wife Helen Lambert and children, Cathy (Carl) Priode of Portsmouth, OH, Jeanetta (Eddie) Shriver of Thurman, OH, Tim (Rhonda) Lambert of McArthur OH, Kim (Jim) Skidmore of Thurman, OH, and John (Kendra) Lambert of Oak Hill, OH; siblings, Roxie (Glen) Davies, Beluha (Roger) Thomas , Carl (Sylvia) Lambert, David (Judy) Lambert , Violet Wells and Rick Lambert, all of Patriot, OH; grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Priode, Chris (Joni) Priode, Jenny (Larry Berry) Priode, all of Portsmouth , OH, Jill Shriver, Katie(Floyd) Evans, both of Thurman, OH, Tim (Thelma) Lambert Jr. of McArthur , OH, Kelly Lambert of Peebles, OH, Aaron (Stephanie) Lambert of Suffolk, VA, Tiff (Jason) Casey of Bidwell, OH, Jimmie (Olivia) Skidmore of Patriot, OH, Joshua (Kayla) Skidmore of Patriot, Sarah (Derrek) Duty of Gallipolis, OH, Alanta (Tyler) Walls, John Clinton Lambert Jr., Sierra Burchett, Taylor Burchett , and Kristen Eick, all of Oak Hill, OH; twenty four great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Willis Funeral Home in Gallipolis, Ohio with Rev. Ron Bynum officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 p.m., prior to the service. Cecil will be laid to rest at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Patriot, OH. Pallbearers will be Jason Priode, Tim Lambert Jr., Chris Priode, Jimmie Skidmore, Aaron Lambert, Josh Skidmore and Jason Casey.
