Charles E. Ellis, 80, of Gallipolis, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 19, 1936 in Madison, WV, son of the late Wilburn “Buster” and Ida Baisden Ellis. Charles was a retired truck driver and a member of Elks #107. Surviving are his partner, Loretta Hamon of Gallipolis; three sons, Chuck (Laura) Ellis of Pomeroy, Mike (Martha) Ellis of McRae, Arkansas, Howard (Tina) Ellis of Patriot; two daughters, Kathy (Lester) Ward of Gallipolis and Sheri (Devin) Slone of Pt. Pleasant, WV; a stepson, James (Kim) Allman of Eustis, Florida; stepdaughter, Lora (Bob) Davis of Ocala, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; his little buddy, Logan Charles Davis; a sister, Mollie (Tom) Bontrager of Nashville, Tennessee; two brothers, Willie (Shirley) Ellis of Sandusky, OH and Joe Ellis of Lorida, Florida; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Delena, a grandson, Preston Wroblewski, a sister Mary Ruth Vance and a brother, Walter Ellis. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Willis Funeral Home with Tom Bontrager and Pastor Kandy Nuce officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral. Pallbearers will be Jon Ellis, Caleb Ellis, James Thomas, Don Garber, Bob Davis and Will Slone.
