Charles F. Price

Charles Franklin Price, 92, son of Kermit and Audree Price, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025. He was born in Gallia County November 3, 1932 and was preceded in death by his parents and only brother, Gary. Charles graduated from Gallia Academy High School in 1948 and received a Bachelor’s Degree from The Ohio State University in 1952, followed later by a Master’s Degree from Ohio University in 1970. Following a four-year position in New York City, Charles returned to Ohio where he was employed at Gallipolis State Institute as a teacher/administrator from 1956 to 1986. Upon retirement, Charles settled in Columbus.

Charles loved New York, his many trips to France, Blue Devil and Buckeye football, walks with best friend, Cliff Harvey, in Three Creeks Metro Park, especially when bluebells were in bloom, and the many hummingbirds in his front yard. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Willis Funeral Home; a short service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.
