Charles W. "Charlie" Pugh, Jr., 67, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at his residence. Charlie was born on December 6, 1957 in Pomeroy, Ohio, son of the late Charles W. Pugh, Sr. and Betty Jane (Pugh) Hatten. Charlie was married to Linda Mae Lambert Pugh who preceded him in death on December 4, 1999. In addition to his parents and wife, Charlie was preceded in death by a stepfather, Harold H. Hatten; sisters, Carolyn Call, Patsy Ward, Judy Pugh, and Mary Lou Pugh; one brother, William "Bill" Pugh; and his best friend, James Poteet.
Charlie was an auto mechanic who loved working on cars and fixing things. He was dedicated to his family and will be greatly missed. He is survived by two sons, Keith W. Pugh and Tommy E. (Tamra) Pugh both of Gallipolis; one stepson, Eric (Nicole) Masters and family of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Kayla (Brian) Knotts and Kelsey Pugh both of Gallipolis, Joshua Shaver of Batavia, Ohio, Kara Masters, Jacob (Lilly Tompkins) Pugh, Jamie Writesel, Chloe Pugh, and Addy Pugh all of Gallipolis; twelve great grandchildren; four sisters, Brenda King (Tracy Crouse) of Mount Orab, Ohio, Peggy Musser of Middleport, Ohio, Martha Smith of Pomeroy, Ohio, and Lisa (Aaron) Blair of Detroit, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Charlie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor David Hopkins officiating. His burial will follow in Kings Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
