Chester Eugene Stout, 75, of Patriot, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born March 13, 1943 in Knoxville, TN, son of the late John Morrell King and Anna Lee Beeler Stout. Chester was married to Linda E. McCombs on January 15, 1981 and she survives him. He worked as a deputy in the Gallia County Sheriff’s Dept. and security at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a 32 degree Mason, and a Shriner. He enjoyed photography, hunting and fishing and was an avid hobbyist. Surviving are his wife, Linda E. Stout of Patriot; daughters, Eugenia (John) Koontz of Columbus, Anna Gailis of Plain City, Andrea (Wade) Roberts of Patriot; a son, Anthony (Jennifer) Stout of Bidwell; two stepsons, Dale Hall and David Hall, both of Gallipolis; grandchildren, John and Jake Koontz, Alex (Mark) Sabolsky, Jessica (Eric) Roberts, Katherine Stout (Ethan Zaayer), Matthew and Archie Gailis, Trey, Trevor, and Tyler; great grandchildren, Levi and James Roberts, Aiden and Allie Sabolsky, Zander Graham, and Cole Zaayer. In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by a stepson, Dean Hall. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Sue Bingman officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a Masonic service on Friday evening.
