Clifford R Bowyer

Clifford R. Bowyer, 90, of Crown City, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at his residence. Born July 6, 1928 in Ohley, West Virginia, Clifford was the son of the late Henry Daniel and Thorie Davis Bowyer. On January 17, 1969, he married Alice Day Bowyer who survives him. Clifford is survived by his wife, Alice Bowyer; daughters, Nettie (Kevin) Rupe of Crown City and Crystal (Billy) May of Crown City; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by his son, Clifton Bowyer; sisters, Nellie White, Kozy Marie O’Dell, and Mabel Triplett; and brothers, Clyde Davis, Bob Bowyer, and Oakey Bowyer. The funeral service for Clifford Bowyer will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Truman Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mercerville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Rupe, Shane Rupe, Chase Bowyer, Michael Bowyer, Cliftin Bowyer, and Robert Bowyer. Friends may call prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the funeral home.
