Clyde Elmer Elliott, 81, of Scottown, Ohio, Passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Abbyshire Nursing Home, Bidwell, Ohio at 9:40 p.m. He was born on August 5, 1935 in Huntington, WV, son of the late Clyde and Zella Fulks Elliott. In addition to his parent, Clyde was preceded in death by a brothers Ferrell Elliott and Steven Elliott in infancy. Clyde was a retired farmer and a member of Faith Community Chapel Church. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1959 and was a member of the American Legion. Clyde is survived by his wife, Elsie Pauline “Polly” Holley Elliott whom he married on May 9, 1959 in Gallipolis, Ohio; his son Curtis Clyde (Teresa) Elliott of Scottown, two grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great grandson; two sisters Doris Morgan of Columbus, OH, and Shirley Elliott of Gallipolis. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Willis Funeral Home with Rodney Roberts and Alfred Holley officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11 am until the time of the services. There will be full military graveside services by the V.F.W. Honor Guard.
