Cora "Grace" Ferguson went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 15, 2026 after a good and full life of 92 years. Grace was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Grace was born on January 25, 1934 at home on Buffalo Creek Road in Wayne County, the daughter of Jennings & Thelma Haynie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Clyde E. Ferguson; her son, Jerry L. Ferguson; son-in-law, Jerry Baker; four sisters, Gerry Meadows, Millie Keeney, Barbara Collins, and Charlene Haynie; and two brothers, Roger Haynie and Leo David Haynie.
Grace is survived by her sons, Alan Ferguson of Oak Hill, OH and Tim (Denise) Ferguson of Athens, TN; her daughter, Beverly (Jerry) Baker of Huber Heights, OH; her daughter-in-law, Molly (Jerry) Ferguson of Bowling Green, KY; five grandchildren, Theresa Anne (Chris) Childress, Jennifer Grace Baker, Chelsie (Trey) Davis, Shannon (Bryant) Evans, and Parker Lee Ferguson; five great-grandchildren, Audrey Rose & Amelia Grace Davis, Freya Kay-Lynne Ford, Lilith Christine Baker, and John Brooks Evans; and two sisters, Karen Sizemore of Barboursville, WV and Diana Hensley of Huntington, WV.
She has lived in Gallia & Jackson counties since 1985 and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Rodney, OH.
The funeral service for Grace will be held at Reger Funeral Home in Huntington, West Virginia at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Calling hours will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home in Gallipolis, Ohio.
