Dale Delano Holley

Dale Delano Hank Holley, 69, of Plain City, Ohio, formerly of Gallia County, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at his residence. He was born on January 16, 1936 at Bladen, Ohio to the late Peter Arnold and Allie B. Lane Holley survives him. He was married to Carolyn Hively on June 20, 1959 in Gallipolis and she survives him. He was a retired yard foreman for the Judson Lumber Company in Plain City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. His great passion was going fishing and enjoying his friends and family. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Holley of Plain City, Ohio; three children, Katheryn Michael Ray of Irwin, Ohio, Bonnie Dye and Lawrence Dale Holley, both of Columbus, Ohio; six grandsons, Anthony Osterloh, Jeremy Osterloh, Lawrence D. Holley Jr., Charles Chuckie D. Holley, Kenneth Arnold Wayne Holley and Dakota Holley; one step granddaughter, Anna Ray; six sisters, Leslie Iris Carl Stapleton, Bessie Marlene Harold Duncan, Janice Lee Floyd Stapleton, Shirley A. Dale Watson, all of Crown City, Naomi B. Gene Brown of Gallipolis and Betty Johannesen of Ft. Worth, Texas; five brothers, Melvin C. Lola Holley and Warren D. Gail Holley of Crown City, Basil T. Irene Holley, George C. Helen Holley and Donald W. Holley and his fiancee Margaret White, all of Gallipolis; a great host of special nieces and nephews of whom he cared a lot about; and his best friend, a Jack Russell terrier, Buddy. He will be missed by a lot of good and close friends. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents are two sons-in-law, Robert Dale Osterloh and Bryan Dye, a grandson, Chad Michael Osterloh, an infant brother, Beuford Arnold Holley and a sister Doris Imogene Jeffers in 1996. Services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Willis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at the funeral home. There will be full military honors by volunteers of area veteran's lodges.
