Danny Keith Varney

Danny Keith Varney, 50, of Bidwell, Ohio beloved husband and father went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at his residence after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on January 18, 1955 in Grundy, Virginia to the late Estle and June Henderson Varney. Danny is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Mary Bevins Varney whom he married on February 10, 1973 in Phyllis, Kentucky. Also surviving are two daughters, Stephanie Eric Kemper of Gallipolis, and Tiffany Varney of Bidwell; a sister Sharon James Montgomery of Crown City; several nieces, nephews, friends, family and loved ones. He was an employee of the United States Enrichment Corp. in Piketon, Ohio where he was an electrician, and a former employee of Southern Ohio Coal Company. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Rodney, Ohio; a former volunteer fireman in Phyllis, Kentucky. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars; he was also involved in youth sports as a coach. Services will be 1 PM Wednesday January 18, 2006 at Faith Baptist Church in Rodney with Pastor James Lusher officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 from 5 pm – 9 pm at Willis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be John Bevins, Oliver Bevins, Bruce Bevins, Michael Bevan, Brad Bevan and Brian Bevan.
