David R. Blankenship Sr.

David R. Blankenship Sr., 65, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at his residence. He was born February 23, 1949 in Pt. Pleasant, WV, son of the late Okey P. and Virginia Ann Camden Blankenship. He was a retired deck hand from the AEP River Boat. Surviving are his daughter, Angela (Ken) Mannon of Bidwell; a son Jeremy Blankenship of Florida; sisters, Wendy Meadows of Orange Park, Florida, Margaret (Harvey) Lewis of Gallipolis Ferry, WV and Rachel (Delmar) Parsons of Pt. Pleasant, WV; brothers, George Blankenship of Pt. Pleasant, WV, Preston (Carol) Blankenship of Myrtle Beach, SC and Terrance Blankenship of Jackson, OH. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a son, David R. Blankenship Jr., sisters, Betty Nitz and Joanne Blankenship and a brother, Okey Blankenship Jr. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family.
