David E. Moore

David E. Moore, 69, of Cheshire, Ohio, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at his home. He was born on September 14, 1948 in Gallia County, son of the late Eugene F. Moore and Mary E. Roberts-Moore. David was retired from AEP after 30 years of service. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandpa and friend. He was a veteran who served 3 years in the U.S. Army and 18 months in Vietnam. He was a member of Elizabeth Chapel Church. David married Joyce K. Carson on August 21, 1971. They spent 46 years happily married. They had 2 sons and 2 daughters, Susan (Jeff) Randolph of Gallipolis, Emily (Jason) Northup of Crown City, David (Lora) Moore of Cheshire and Jeffrey Moore of Cheshire. David had 6 grandchildren, Jarred Northup, Ashley Northup, Allie Moore, Ryan Randolph, Kyle Northup and Riley Moore. Also surviving are 3 brothers and 3 sisters, Charlotte (Dennis) Bales of Gallipolis, Kathy Bennett of Hope Mills, NC, Pam (Spencer) Carey of Marianna, FL, Steven (Loretta) Moore of Cheshire, Ed (Tammy) Moore of Cheshire, and Howard Moore of Gallipolis. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastors Alfred Holley and Randy Carnes officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be grandsons, nephew and brothers.
