Densil C. Roberts

August 17, 1920 — November 30, 2005

Densil C. Roberts, 85, of Gallipolis, went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2005 at the Veterans Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia after an extended illness. He was born on August 17, 1920 at Alum Creek, West Virginia, son of the late Hubert Roberts and Rilla Bowman Roberts Underwood. He was a retired minister/self-employed contractor and was a World War II veteran in the Army Air Corps. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rose Stocking Roberts of Gallipolis; two sons, Rodney Peggy Roberts of Gallipolis and Barry Wanda Roberts of Salt Lake City, Utah; three daughters, Elaine Clickenger, Sandy Greene, both of Gallipolis and Debbie Troy Bartley of Rio Grande; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Milem of West Virginia; three brothers, Ronald Marian Roberts of Lansing, Michigan, Jack Marie Martin of West Virginia, and Paul Ann Martin of Pennsylvania; and an aunt, Grace Wolowicz of Wyoming, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son and one brother, Donald Underwood. Services will be on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Sallee officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, December 2, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. Full military honors will be conducted by volunteers of area veteran's lodges. The pallbearers will be his grandsons.
