Diana Jane Hersman

Diana Jane Russell Hersman, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Holzer Medical Center. Diana was born on April 9, 1946 in Gallia County, Morgan Township, daughter of the late Charles Dale and Phyllis P. Ruchel Russell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity Gospel Mission where she taught Sunday school and played the piano. She loved her family. She is survived by her husband Rev. Robert H. “Wheat” Hersman whom she married on December 22, 1962. Diana is also survived two daughters Linda (Herman “Ed”) Parcell of Patriot, and Tammy Hersman of Bidwell, two sons Bobby (Donna) Hersman of Gallipolis, and Ryan (Denise) Hersman of Bidwell, 7 grandchildren Justin Hersman, Robert Hersman, Brittany Hersman, Timothy Hersman, Michael Parcell, Ethan Hersman, and Keith Hersman, 7 great grandchildren Hunter, Jake, Tyson, Izabella, Cooper, Brystol, and Bentley, 5 sisters, Bert Lawson of Columbus, Jude Knight of Dayton, Gertrude Ferrell of Bidwell, Veronica Sue Robinson of Bidwell, and Connie Morgan of Vinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Keith Edward Parcell, sisters, Jolanda Allen and Ruthie in infancy, two brothers, Alvin Russell and Don Russell. Funeral service will be 11:30 am Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Center Wesleyan Cemetery.
