Dolores Jeane Fisher, 98, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Holzer Senior Care.
Born on September 8, 1927 in Meigs County, Ohio, Jeane was the daughter of the late Bart and Mamie Peacock Miller. On March 10, 1949, Jeane married Kermit Fisher, who preceded her in death on October 29, 2019 after 70 years of marriage. Jeane had twenty years of service as a nurse's aide at Holzer Hospital and later volunteered at Holzer. Before her passing, Jeane had the privilege of being the oldest living member of Elizabeth Chapel Church.
Jeane is survived by her three children, Barb Shelton (Jeff Simmons) of Gallipolis, Phil (Debbie) Fisher of Gallipolis, and Jim Fisher of Gallipolis; four grandchildren, Chad E. (Kari) Mayes, Stephanie (Larry) Harris, Travis (Jody) Fisher, and Michael (Candi) Fisher; four great-grandchildren, Sophie, Cooper, Chase, and Kyle; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband Kermit, Jeane was preceded in death by several siblings.
A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at Letart Falls Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026 with Pastor Randy Carnes officiating.
