Donald R. Casey

Donald R. Casey, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. He was born November 23, 1951 in Gallia County, son of the late Charles Casey and Velva White Casey, who survives him. He was a 1970 Kyger Creek High School graduate. Don was a retired self-employed truck driver. He was everyone’s “go to guy” when we were having any kind of mechanical problems with cars or anything. He is survived by his mother, Velva Casey of Bidwell; his devoted wife Sue and son Bradley; two very special grandsons, Matthew and Michael, whom he cherished and loved deeply; along with his best friend he rescued as a pup, “Shelby”. Also surviving are nine brothers and sisters, Charlotte (Bob) Phillips, LaDonna Davis, Rosalie (Terry) Hohenberger, Karen (Ed) Gilmore, Connie (Eugene Wells) Montgomery, Cathy (Phil) Saunders, Rick (Karla) Casey, Michael (Julie) Casey, Mark (Debbie) Casey; mother-in-law Erma Adkins; father-in-law Charles Queen; sister-in-law Susan Casto Casey; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda Viddish, Judy (Bob) Roher, Sharon (Scott) Howell; several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his father, Donald was preceded in death by a brother, Larry, sister-in-law Lisa, brother-in-laws Timothy and Gary. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Armstrong officiating. Entombment will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Chapel of Hope Mausoleum. Friends may call on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
