Donald Michael Spina

Donald Michael Spina, 80, my dear beloved husband, Don, he was a wonderful, amazing man. He was my rock and my rose. I love him so and will miss him forever- passed away on April 20, 2018 at his residence in Naples, Florida. Donald was born January 5, 1938 in Butler, Pennsylvania, son of the late Frank and Ursula Fulcher Spina. He was married to Connie Jean Cline Spina who survives him. Don was retired from General Motors as an auditor. He served his country in the United States Navy and was a life member of the VFW. Don was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Connie Jean Spina, of Naples, Florida; his daughter, Teresa Lee Spina of Troy, Michigan; and his granddaughter, Raven Swisher. Donald is also survived by three stepchildren and twelve step grandchildren: stepson, June A. Johnson, Jr. of Livonia, Michigan and his children, Donald’s step grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Joel Johnson, Jamin Johnson, and Michael Johnson; step daughter, Tammy Matthews of Dublin, Ohio and her children, Don’s step grandchildren, Brittney Matthews and Cody Matthews; stepson, Steven (Rhonda Davis) Johnson of Crown City, Ohio and his children, Don’s step grandchildren, Shayla Johnson and Steven Johnson, Jr.; and step grandchildren, Connie Johnson, Vanna Johnson, Jordan Johnson, and Vanity Johnson, children of the late stepson, Van S. Johnson. Also surviving are several step great grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow in Victory Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m.
