Dorothy Lucille White

Dorothy Lucille White, 86, of Gallipolis, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. She was born June 29, 1930 in Gallipolis, daughter of the late John and Goldie Williams Johnson. In addition Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Alvin White, two sons Jerry Johnson and Jeffery White, two daughters Linda and Connie White, brothers John Johnson and Tommie Broyles, and sisters Martha Miller, Margorie Johnson, Marie Jeffers, Louise White, Goldie Province and Freda Butcher. She attended First Church of the Nazarene and was a homemaker. Surviving are her five sons, John Russell of Gallipolis, Joe Russell of Hartford, WV, Jesse (Kathleen) White, Jack (Rhonda) White and Jim White, all of Gallipolis; three daughters, Lynn (Gary) Siders, Carolyn White, and Kay (Jim) Swann, all of Gallipolis; 36 grandchildren; 108 great grandchildren; 38 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth Willett of Gallipolis; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Harmon officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
