Doug Martin

Doug Martin, 73, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at his residence. He was born December 11, 1941 in Logan County, West Virginia, son of the late Jesse H. and Ardith Albright Martin. Doug was married to Marilyn Stockton and she survives him. He was a self employed carpenter and a member of Gallipolis First Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Martin of Gallipolis; children, Ronald Douglas (Jill) Martin Jr. of Powell, Ohio, David Edward (Amy) Martin of Mason, Ohio and Caralee (Tom) Barr of Chillicothe, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Jordan Martin, Alec Martin, Drew Barr, Jesse Martin, Lilly Barr, Cody Martin, T.J. Barr; one brother, Charles (Martha) Martin of Barboursville, West Virginia; one sister, Janelle Goins of Kingsport, Tennessee; and a sister-in-law, Anna Martin of Georgia. In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by a brother Don Martin. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Gallipolis First Church of the Nazarene with Pastors Eugene Harmon and Doug Downs officiating. Burial will follow in Addison Reynolds Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family.
