Doug Meadows, 74, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Adena Pike Medical Center in Waverly, Ohio. Born on June 6, 1943 in Gallia County, Ohio, Doug was the son of the late Henry and Ruby White Meadows. He retired from the Gallia County Landfill. Doug had also worked at French City Meats and as a manager at Johnson Supermarket. He was a member of the First Church of God, the Morning Dawn Lodge #7 Masonic Lodge, and Aladdin Temple Shrine of Columbus, Ohio. Doug was a Scottish Rite 32nd degree Mason. Doug is survived by his wife, Ann Meadows of Gallipolis; daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Mark Riffle of Gallipolis; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Jennifer Meadows of Gallipolis; four grandchildren, Cody Riffle, Cari Riffle, Olivia Meadows, and Trenton Meadows all of Gallipolis; brothers, Howard (Shirley) Meadows and Charles Meadows of Gallipolis and Archie (Betty) Meadows of Crown City; sisters, Ruth Smith of Racine and Nancy Myers of Crown City; sister-in-law, Bette Meadows of Crown City; brother-in-law, Ken Dillon of Gallipolis; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Henry and Ruby Meadows, Doug was preceded in death by his sister, Garnet Elliott Dillon and brother, Richard Meadows. The funeral service for Doug will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Voss officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Riffle, Trenton Meadows, Pat Tackett, Alex Schuler, Jacob Hilderbrant, and Zach McKinney. Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the funeral home. A Masonic Service will follow the calling hours at the funeral home.
