Earl D. Champlin Sr.

Earl D. Champlin Sr., 81, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at his residence. He was born October 8, 1935 in North Rose, New York, son of the late Cecil and Mable Hewson Champlin. Earl was married to Beatrice H. “Bea” Rose Champlin and she survives him. He was a retired supervisor for 39 ½ years for Rockwell. Earl was a member of New Life Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Beatrice H. “Bea” Champlin of Gallipolis; children, Earl D. “Danny” Champlin Jr. of Gallipolis, Glen C. Champlin of Maryland, Denise K. Champlin and Sherri J. Champlin, both of Gallipolis; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Carl C. Champlin of Clyde, New York; two sisters, Mildred P. Reynolds of Watsontown, Pennsylvania and Wanda Schreiber of Ontario, New York. A memorial service will be 5:30 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2017 at New Life Lutheran Church with Pastor John Jackson officiating. Immediately following the memorial, there will be a dinner provided in the church fellowship room; everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.
