Earl E. Wolford, 63, of Crown City, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at the Holzer Medical Center Emergency Room. He was born on October 31, 1943 in Gallia County to the late Truman and Gladys Cox Wolford. He was an auto body repairman and a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are his daughter, Crystal Hexamer of Texas; three grandchildren; three sisters, Jewell Wolford of Gallipolis, Mary Wolford of Crown City, and Bessie Bowman of Miller; two brothers, Junior Judy Wolford of Gallipolis and Don Brenda Wolford of Crown City; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Nancy Mooney of Crown City. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ina Phillips and Letha Mae Davis, and two brothers, Keith Wolford and Carl Wolford. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Kings Chapel Church with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. The body will lie in state from 12 – 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Kings Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the Willis Funeral Home on Friday, November 3, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. There will be a military flag presentation at the graveside by volunteers of area veteran's lodges. Pallbearers will be James Wolford, Dickie Wolford, Nathan Mooney, Kevin Mooney, Nelson Davis, and Shorty Maynard.
