Edith M. Crosier

Edith M. Crosier, 83, of Gallipolis, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015 at her son’s residence. She was born September 2, 1932 in Ronceverte, West Virginia, daughter of the late Othor and Arlena Ramsey Massie. She was retired from the tax department of the City of Gallipolis after 23 years of service. Edith was a member of 1st Christian Church, Ronceverte, West Virginia. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Lee (Carmel Long) Hylton and Alvin Ray (Sherry) Hylton, both of Gallipolis; three grandchildren, Allan Hylton, Payton Adam Hylton and Kimbie Hylton, all of Gallipolis; one great granddaughter, Bethany Blanton of Pt. Pleasant, WV; five sisters, Lula Belle “Pootchie” Wykle of Selma, VA, Ethel Jane “Bunny”VanBuren of Gap Mills, WV, Dorothy Lee “Booty” Tucker, Linda Sue “Susie” Smith and Katie L. “Mousey” Burnett, all of Covington, VA. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by three sisters, Carol Harless, Ruth Holcomb, and Elizabeth June “Punky” O’Neal, and one brother, Jerry Massie. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family.
