Edward L. Harrington, 70, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Arbors at Gallipolis. Eddie was born on June 25, 1956, son of Herb and Thelma Burns Harrington who survive him.

Eddie was in the U.S. Army; he was a cattle farmer and a graduate of Gallia Academy High School. On May 9, 2026, he gave his heart to Jesus Christ. He enjoyed doing outdoor things like hunting, fishing, and camping. In addition to his parents, Eddie is survived by a brother, Billy Joe Harrington of Gallipolis; sister, Brenda (J.R.) Graham of Grove City, Ohio; special nephew, Adam Harrington and his family; special niece Yumiko Sabatino and her family; a special person who was like a grandson, Darian Peck, who is in the U.S. Army serving in Florida; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Eddie was preceded in death by his former wife, Carol Jo "Jody" Kidwell Harrington; sister, Syna Yokokawa; and nephew, Chad Wheeler. Eddie's family extends thanks to Arbors and their staff for the care given to Eddie.

The funeral service for Eddie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Ben Pauley officiating. His burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday prior to the service from noon until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
