Edward O. Penwell, Jr.

Edward O. Penwell, Jr., 75, of Vinton, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Holzer Medical Center Emergency Room.

Born on December 18, 1949 in Waverly, Ohio, Edward was the son of the late Edward Penwell, Sr. and Edith Everett Penwell. Edward married Wanda Anderson Penwell who preceded him in death on June 9, 2017. He had served in the U.S. Army and worked as a clerk for O’Dell True Value Lumber Company.

Edward is survived by his son, Joshua (Tasha) Penwell of Vinton, Ohio; daughter, Rachel (Rusty) Lear of Laurelville, Ohio; grandsons, Drew Penwell (Sophia Gadrin), Nickolas (Ashley) Hufford, Ian Lear (Chloe Reichelderfer, fiancé), and Landry Lear; granddaughter, Sidney Lear (Christian Algoe); and great-grandchildren, Colton and Ava.

In accordance with Edward’s and the family’s wishes, there will be no public services. Willis Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
