Elaine D. Johnson

Elaine D. Johnson, 67, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 in Holzer Medical Center.  Elaine was born on November 25, 1957 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Herman and Norma Jean Sims, Jr.

Elaine was married to Larry K. Johnson; and he survives her in Gallipolis, Ohio.  Also surviving are two daughters, Amanda Johnson (Bobby Rogers) and Shelly Sturgeon (Brian Sturgeon); grandchildren, Alex Dinguss, Madison Dinguss, John Wayne Sturgeon, Haleigh Rogers, and Jayden Rogers; and three brothers, Bill (Mary) Sims, Tom (Barb) Sims, and Kevin Sims.  In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Sims.

Elaine was a former employee of Infocision where she was a trainer and The French City Child Care Center.  She loved her two cats and was a beautiful artist who sold a lot of her different works.  Elaine had a love for flowers and kept a beautiful landscape.  Thanksgiving was her special holiday where she would cook a large meal for everyone who would come.  She enjoyed family cookouts with her family and friends, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

In accordance with Elaine's wishes, there will not be any funeral services.
