Eleanor Sue Porter

Eleanor Sue Porter, 79, of Bidwell, departed this life to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at her residence. Eleanor Sue was born May 6, 1937 in Wellsburg, West Virginia to Losia Lazetta Newell Givens and Richard Arthur Givens. She graduated from Cheshire High School in 1955. Eleanor Sue was married to John P. Porter for 51 years and was preceded in death by him in 2009. They spent most of their lives in Northern Ohio/Cuyahoga Falls. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, John, Eleanor Sue was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Ollie Givens, Florence Degarmo, Mary Ida Colley, Richard Isa Givens, David Thomas Givens, and Edna Maye Coen. Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Joanne (Steve) Downes, Jeanette White Givens and one brother-in-law, Bill (Sharon) Porter, along with many nephews and nieces who were very special to her. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Britton and Pastor Jim Lusher officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral.
