Ella G. Cox

Ella G. Cox, 77, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Holzer Medical Center. She was born July 6, 1933 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Owen Scarberry Sr. and Flora E. Saunders Scarberry. Ella was a homemaker. Surviving are two daughters, Joan Scarberry and Linda Cox, and seven sons, Donald Cox, Billy (Lynn) Cox, Roger Cox, Gary Cox, Kenny (Patty) Cox, Larry (Jenny) Cox, and Pete (Sherri) Cox, all of Gallipolis; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband, Leslie Donald Cox on September 19, 2001, sisters Kathryn Scarberry, Marjorie Shaver, and Madge Brown, and brothers Owen Scarberry Jr. and Alfred Scarberry. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:30 a.m. 1 p.m. prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Wesley Cox, Kenny Cox, Shawn Cox, Cody DeVault, Little Billy Cox, James Burkeheimer, and Donald Cox. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Ella's memory to the funeral home to help the familywith expenses. The family would like to give special thanks to Gigi.
