Else A. Burns

Else A. Burns, 79, of Rio Grande, Ohio went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 3, 2006 at the Holzer Medical Center. She was born on July 20, 1927 in Frankfort, Germany, the daughter of the late Friedrich Michel and Martha Eckstein Michel. She was retired from the Food Service Department at Rio Grande College. Else married William C. Burns, Sr. on March 9, 1949 in Germany and from this union six children were born. She will be sadly missed by her surviving children, Patricia Miller of Rio Grande, Beverly Larry Ratcliff of Thurman, William C. Cheryl Burns, Jr. of Rio Grande, Ronny Connie Burns of Gallipolis, and Mike Burns of Bidwell, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William C. Burns, Sr. on February 23, 1993, and a daughter Gabrielle Eads in 1995, and by her step mother Barbara Michel. Services will be later at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Willis Funeral Home.
