Emagene Barcus Dray, 85, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, WV. She was born on June 8, 1920 in Gallia County, Ohio to the late Robert and Clara Lanthron Barcus. Emagene was preceded in death by two husbands, Harold Criner in 1950 and Divers E. Dray in 1998. She was a homemaker. Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Taylor of Gallipolis and LaVelle William Hamrick of Grand Blanc, Michigan; one son, Nelson Anitra Dray of Gallipolis; one son-in-law, Bob Roach of Gallipolis; ten grandchildren, David Hamrick, Steven Hamrick, Diedra Hutchinson, Greg Criner, Dennis Criner, Chuck Deerfield, Chris Dray, Lexi Taylor, Lori Taylor, and Angie Cline; several great grandchildren; a sister, Norma James of Gallipolis; a special niece, Shirley Beaver. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, Harold Criner and Divers Dray, a son, Larry Criner, a daughter, Dorothy Roach, a granddaughter, Terri Howard, three brothers, Homer, Harold, and Harry Barcus and three sisters, Nola Spurlock, Mildred Sanders, and Golda Hutchinson. Services will be on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Mina Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
