Emma G. Newman

Emma G. Newman, 81, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010 at her residence. She was born September 29, 1929 in Proctorville, Ohio, daughter of the late Edgar and Rhoda Gorby Boster. Emma was married to Clifford F. Newman and he preceded her in death in 1985. She was a homemaker and enjoyed C.B. radios. Surviving are her daughter, Jeanie (Bob) Wainwright of Matthews, North Carolina and a son, Dean E. Newman of Bidwell; two grandchildren, Jason (Betina Craddock) Newman of Galloway, Ohio and Brian (Sherry) Newman of Bidwell; two great grandchildren, Garrett and Loraleigh; three sisters, Helen (Earl) Bailey of Ashland, Kentucky, Linda Lou (Lloyd) Ash of Proctorville, and Edith Nelson of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, David (Patty) Boster of Proctorville; several nieces and nephews. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clifford F. Newman, two brothers and one sister. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery.
