F. Colby Burnett

F. Colby Burnett, 23, Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2006 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, WV after a short illness. He was born on September 25, 1982 in Gallipolis, Ohio the beloved son of Fredrick F. and Barbara Hughes Burnett, who survive him. He was a heavy equipment operator for Davis Brothers Construction. Colby was raised in the Addison United Methodist Church. He was a 2001 graduate of Gallia Academy High School. Colby loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are his parents, Fred and Barb Burnett of Gallipolis; one brother, Jared Burnett of Gallipolis; maternal grandparents, Ray and Janet Hughes of Gallipolis; paternal grandparents, Claude and Helen Burnett of Gallipolis; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Preceding him in death are his great grandparents and an aunt, Sue Hughes in 1984. Services will be at the First Church of the Nazarene on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Larry Fisher and Pastor Bob Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Willis Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Chris Burnett, Kyle Burnett, Tyler Burnett, Tony Hughes, Brad Shadle, Brian Shadle, Jason Beaver, Ryan Burnett, Josh Burnett, Ben Bowman, Kyle Brown and Jason Koebel.
