Farrell A. Houck, 80, of Bidwell, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at Holzer Medical Center. He was born January 10, 1938 in Mercerville, Ohio to the late John E. and Virgie (Fellure) Houck. Farrell was an avid hunter. He enjoyed many trips to Colorado and Wyoming where he would hunt elk, antelope, and mule deer. He enjoyed hunting white-tail deer with his family in Ohio. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Plant and later became a business owner for 25 years at White’s Paint Town. In later years, Farrell drove for Foster Trucking and delivered Steve Evans Sausage. He is survived by his daughters, Monna Phillips (William) of Bidwell, Ohio and Cheryl Smith of Mesa, Arizona; brother, Kenneth R. Houck of East Long Meadow, Massachusetts; sister, Betty J. Hern of Columbus, Ohio; and grandchildren, Allen Phillips (Jessica) of Ripley, West Virginia and Joshua Smith and Carisa Smith, both of Mesa, Arizona. In addition to his parents, Farrell was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Evans; brothers, John Junior Houck and W. Glenn Houck; and grandson, Gregory Phillips. The funeral service for Farrell Houck will be Friday, November 30, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery, Gallipolis.
